Cant we take more cars out and re-do them to make them use electricity or something ...maybe from the sun light...

Its highly debatable whether humans are influencing global warming. Every 11,500 years, the earth goes through a major extinction with a global warming and cooling phase (ice age.) Paleontologists are able to track this through soil samples. We may actually be headed into an ice age because we are coming to the tail end of the current cycle. The problem is that the media and politicians get focussed on a piece of the puzzle and try to simplify this issue. Don't be fooled. There is probably nothing humans can do. Even if we could, there is no way you can control China who is becoming a major world polluter. Humans will need to adapt to climate change. Where I live there are small changes in our weather pattern, but nothing major. A lot of the media is hype to sell newspapers. The only caution is that some past climate changes have been more radical, swinging wildly from hot to cold. Others have brought on instant and severe cold conditions. I know the area that I live used to be buried in hundreds on feet of ice, but temperatures are mild today... Humans will just need to wait and see what mother nature brings and adapt as necessary.

Next, we need to close down all the Factories that contribute to this. I am sure the people who lose their jobs will agree with this as their contribution.
Then we close down the Coal Energy Plants and go to Hydro-electric and Nuclear. I am sure the Environmentalists will agree this is best compared to global warming.
Then we have to go to war with China to close the Coal Plants they keep building about every month. I am sure everyone will go for this idea.
OR, we can come to the conclusion that the above will not happen. But, on the optimistic side, we will all die from the Asteroid coming this way before Global Warming is a concern.How do you think we can stop global warning from getting worse??? if so............?Considering that the amount of pollution that humans are adding to what nature produces is at most 10% when there is little volcanic activity and much less when we have major volcanic activity I would have to say that anything that we try to do will be a drop in the bucket compared to what nature produces. Also, as some one else has already wrote, we are at the end of another 10,000 year cycle, the first known one that we have writing to record. Also, considering that we only have been monitoring our climate for less than 300 years faithfully, everything is based on theories. All signs point that after the Earth warms up to a certain point, than an Ice Age follows because of the clouds and other natural occurring events.How do you think we can stop global warning from getting worse??? if so............?The problem exists in the fact that not every one believes that global warming is caused by burned fuel emissions. Some think that it is more likely a sun cycle thing. Some think it is a temporary change in weather patterns. It is intersting that John in the book of Revelation sees that massive amounts of people will suffer skin boils in the last days - I suppose it futile to conjecture that this could be caused from ultraviolet light burns.
Now, if global warming, which causes the polar caps to melt, thus flooding coastal cities around the world, and increased levels of radiation creating escalated cancer and other health problems, and changed ocean current and air current patterns, thus bringing on catostophic weather changes, is actually caused by C02 emissions, I say we plant more trees and other oxygen producing plants and manage our forests, buy smaller cars and force the failing auto manufacturers to build responsibly for a change, quit importing so many products form overseas (fuel is needed to transport stuff), start recycling more products, stop manufacturing and purchasing certain refrigerants (another issue), and subsidizing homes that use more energy per cubic foot per month than average (natural gas and electric heat are two huge producers of C02).
Now, that is IF global warming is caused by C02 emissions - haven't seen a proof yet...lot's of theory. There's the problem.How do you think we can stop global warning from getting worse??? if so............?Cars aren't the reason the climate is changing. At least they're not the only reason.
According to latest scientific research, the sun is emitting more heat, thereby causing global warming not just on earth, but also on other planets in our solar system. Check out the links I provided--there's plenty more research available online too.
While it's great to be good stewards of spaceship earth, to clean up smog and make sure the ecosystem stays in balance, there's bigger problems out there than so-called global warming. Let's look at the chemicals that are injected into our livestock to make them more profitable for the food corporations, or the toxicity levels of our water supplies. These are things people can get involved with, point to specific industries or corporations, and effect change. Whereas global warming is just this big concept that can't be pinpointed and the enemy is often reduced to the soccer mom who drives a Tahoe instead of a Camry, or who drives at all instead of taking public transportation.
I guess what I'm trying to say is, if you're going to be an activist, don't try to change the whole population, find localized problems and bring attention to that, thereby affecting measurable change on a local level.
