i have a couple questions about the palm centro.
first of all it wasnt mine to begin with.. i dropped
my other phone in the pool so my mom's friend
gave me her palm centro. it's in good condition
appearance wise just a couple scratches. but im
already starting to have issues with it. alright so
first of all at first the indicator light would flash
whenever i had a new message or missed call etc.
but last night i was trying to get the keyboard to come
on so i did a hard reset. now the indicator light doesnt
come on unless its charging. and the keyboard still wont
light up at all in the dark. ive tried changing the backlight
brightness but it doesnt work.
pleaaaaaase help.

oh and also the screen flickers alot when the backlight is low?Palm Centro? Help pleaaaase?Try my steps below and your phone actually might start working again. You can take the phone to your local cell phone repair store. Look one up on yellowpages. Ask if they'll repair the light/keyboard for you.
(1) IMMEDIATELY REMOVE THE BATTERY. VERY VERY IMPORTANT!
(2) As soon as possible (preferably within 20-30 minutes). dissassemble the phone using Torx T6 screwdriver. (Get this off eBay or service depots, etc) Make an emergency trip to Sears/RadioShack/ACE/service depot/etc.
(3) Clean/dry as much as you can, using Q-Tips
(4) Dry the electronics components under a desk lamp on a paper towel for 24 hours.
(5) Use a blow dryer, set on warm. Blow dry the phone. Make sure your battery and sim card are out of the phone.
(6) Put your phone in rice for 24 hours w/ battery and sim out
(7) Reassemble the phone
(8) Put back together
(9) Only now it's safe to put the battery back in.
You can also leave the battery and sim out. Leave your phone out in the sun. Let it dry.
